In a tech-infused era, we live in a world embedded in technology, and now Artificial Intelligence, i.e., AI, is becoming a silent conductor orchestrating our daily lives. There is so much “artificialness” in our daily lives today. Is the omnipresence of AI a tool we wield, or has it morphed our behavior? Are we harnessing the powers of AI productively, or are we succumbing to the sway of AI driving our actions and reactions?
Throughout, humans have tirelessly used their powerful intellect to help streamline and simplify daily existence and unleash creativity. Today, we have overcome the veil of darkness by harnessing the brilliance of light anywhere, anytime, thanks to the great scientist Thomas Edison, who used his intellect and persistence to invent the electric bulb. AI can now help stretch the boundaries of human intellect, speed up discoveries and inventions, boost creativity, and build even more powerful tools that will similarly help future generations.
The Dangers of Using AI
But hold on, this revolutionizing AI also holds the potential to cause a lot of harm. People are spending way too much time on mobiles, especially the youth, some of whom are addicted. Concentration issues, directionless life, and aimless living are some of the common problems that lead to such negativity that some even contemplate putting an end to their anxieties by ending their lives. When immersed in virtual reality, one may lose sense of the actual reality. Only people with awareness will understand what is real and what will harm them in the long run.
Mobiles and other devices were invented to boost productivity, but people are constantly and aimlessly chasing entertainment on their devices. This constant gratification of senses releases dopamine in the brain, making them want more. If one is aware, they will put these intelligent devices to the best use. They will use it to set reminders for themselves, productivity, health tracking apps, and use entertainment as a reward for achieving a goal. Without awareness, people get swayed away in gratification and move further away from their goals, even committing crimes. People often say that those who commit crimes have lost their conscience. But the fact is we are all losing that inner connection with ourselves, our intuitions, and our conscience when we let AI decide what we do next.
The Missing Component in AI
It is clear that to benefit from AI and to overcome the threats AI poses, something more is required than just the knowledge of the technology. The power of technology can help or harm depending on how one uses it. But that missing piece in that jigsaw puzzle is Wisdom. Wisdom has the power, and it helps maintain focus to be more productive and use AI constructively. One needs to understand that connecting with the inner Self, the intuition is important to stay connected and grounded. Intuition is the inner tuition, the inner voice emanating from one’s conscience and heart. Listening to one’s intuition will keep them from going down the rabbit hole of social media without even realizing it. It will help snick out of that habit as soon as the realization dawns that they are distracted and not making productive use of the devices. Wisdom is the key that will help rationalize one’s habits and maintain focus on one’s goals.
So whenever you say or hear AI, remind yourself that you are not just going to just use AI, but use AI judiciously, with wisdom. You may want to call it “AWI” – that is Wisdom in AI.
Deeper Understanding of Wisdom in AI
There is a deeper meaning to AWI, which will help understand it fully.
A – stands for Awareness. The Law of Attraction is actually the Law of Awareness. Whatever is in your field of awareness, gets activated. The human brain has millions of compartments with stored information and knowledge. Your awareness determines which of it gets activated. You get the desired results when you are aware and positive, contemplate constructive topics, and maintain focus. No one gets what they wish for by focusing on what they do not want.
W stands for Wisdom, a vital ingredient to direct the powers of AI in the right direction towards achieving your goals, differentiating between fake and real, and having a clear understanding of the lines to be maintained while using AI to the best.
I stands for “Is”ness, which indicates being in the present, not in the past or future. It reminds one not to get lost in what was, nor in what will be, but stay with what is, in this moment, in acceptance.
So with this, let us resolve to be a step ahead in using technology, whether smartphones or AI. When engaged in the right direction, powerful intellect can help reach the moon; on the other hand, it can even lead to war and destruction. This holds true for AI, too. Use it to stretch human powers and intellect to accelerate progress towards a healthier, more evolved society and to save time so that the time saved by using these incredible tools can be used to attain higher consciousness. So the next time you hear about or use AI, remember to use it with Awareness, Wisdom, and Isness – not just AI, but AWI.
