The waves in the ocean continuously emerge from it and again dissolve back into it. The wave doesn’t have an existence of its own. It is a part of the ocean itself. In other words, the wave is nothing but the ocean. Its properties are the same as that of the ocean. It’s just that the ocean endlessly takes the shape of waves. Waves rise and fall, but the ocean constantly exists and expresses itself through the waves!
God (Nature) is also like the ocean. The variety of life on earth are its waves. God experiences Himself through these various forms like the trees, animals, birds, etc., and humans too. Although God experiences Himself through all forms, He donned the human form to consciously know Himself as the Essence of all; to be aware of Himself as the Being that lives through all forms. This possibility does not exist in other forms, where the experience of Being is unaware of itself.
Thus, humans are an expression of God. God experiences and expresses Himself through human existence by way of tension, intuition, and intention. One needs to be attuned to understand God’s way of expression. Let’s understand this.
When people face tensions in various situations, generally, they feel scared or stressed. They aren’t able to listen to the silent voice of God that is communicating with them through this tension. When God wants to get something done through us, tension is one of the ways. This tension provides us the impetus and energy to get that work done. A typical example is students who feel tense before appearing for their exams. This tension helps them to prepare well for their exams. Another example is the tension one feels before performing in front of a large audience. The pressure a sportsperson or an artist feels. When they take this tension positively and prepare and perform well, they ultimately succeed.
Those who do not understand this hidden purpose of tension, perceive it as a problem. They try to escape it and get entangled in distractions like entertainment or vices. They blame God, or destiny, or other people, for their problems. One needs to understand that tension is the push that comes from within us. It comes with the purpose of getting something done.
The second method of communication is intuition. Intuitions are those intense feelings that suddenly arise within us. It’s like someone instructing from within us to do something. An intense feeling to do or not to do a particular thing. But when our ego shrouds this feeling, we mistake the intuition to be the whim of the mind. The ego discards it and acts according to its old habits. As a consequence, when something does go wrong, we realize it too late and many of us also say, “My inner voice had told me not to do this, but I neglected it.”
We often find our inner voice prodding us to follow a particular route while traveling, and we do that. Later, we even realize that we would have got stuck in a traffic jam, had we taken the other route. Have you ever felt the need to go and check the house lights or door lock when you leave your house in a hurry? When you checked back, you would have perhaps realized that the lights were still on or that you hadn’t properly locked the door. Most of you would agree that many such incidents happen in our life. We get rewarded when we listen to our intuition but also face the ill-effects of ignoring it.
There is yet another way God (Nature) communicates, and that’s by giving us some intention. An inner inspiration pushes us to take up certain intentions, and we pursue it with all awareness. The courage of taking up intentions is given to us by God only. Such intentions help us achieve things we had not planned earlier.
Thus, God is constantly guiding us by giving us tensions, intuitions, or intention. Those who are attuned to this divine system of guidance easily achieve whatever they aspire in their lives. They say, “I do not know how, but all my work gets easily accomplished. It’s surely by God’s grace.”
Those who have realized this way of Nature to get things done never nurture their ego and lead a happy and fulfilled life.
